Yes yes yes! Another giveaway!! And a suuuuuuuper cool one! 😀 L’oreal Paris is giving away their Feria Wild Ombré home hair color! Introducing the first at-home coloring system designed to create the hottest, most sought-after hair color trend – the ombré effect. The Patented Expert Brush allows for easy creation of ombré looks from subtle and sexy to bold and edgy. It’s as easy as brushing your hair.

Of course I cant just giveaway something without trying it to see if it’s as good as I think it is, so for you -my dear readers- I’ve reviewed the product. I tried color 060 for medium to dark brown hair. I was a little nervous, I must admit, it’s bleaching your hair and it’s not like it will just go away after washing your hair 20 times. But anything for you 😉

The picture on the package looks pretty bold, right? When I talked to L’oreal Paris about doing a review, I didn’t realize how nervous I would get haha. But luckily you can use the kit to either do subtile or bold highlights. I chickened out and did the subtle ones 🙂

First: the before picuture

My hair is not as dark as in the picture, but it’s really hard getting the actual color in the picture! But, you can see: just one color, pretty plain, pretty boring 😉

Time to open the package.. Exciting!

The little black brush you see in the pic is the special Patented Expert Brush you use to apply the color. You mix everything together first with the gloves on, then put up part of your hair and start working (with a towel over your shoulders) on the first layer of hair. You load the little brush with the color and brush it through your hair. I must admit, it’s not as easy as your regular home hair color job. Normally I just put the color all over my hair, rub it in, make sure it’s everywhere and that’s it. Now you have to keep an eye on where you start and start at kinda the same point everywhere. Which is fine for the front, but very hard to do in the back. You definitely need someone to help you out here. Which I didn’t.

After doing your first layer, you let down another section of your hair and start working on that. I kept forgetting to reload the brush (which you have to do with every application). Don’t forget it! Me forgetting it might have something to do with the end result..

And then… You wait. 25 minutes. After 25 minutes you take off a little bit of the color, check to see if it’s the desired color and if not, you put some back on and check back in 5 minutes. And then another 5. And another. Until you reach 45 minutes (or the desired color, whatever comes first). Mine didn’t really seem to get as blond as I wanted it to be, but I didn’t want to leave it in longer than 45 minutes, scared my hair would fall out or something. So even though I thought it wasn’t the right color, I washed it out.

And the result?? Well.. I was expecting it to be way lighter. But this is probably my own fault, for not reloading the brush every time. The result is very very very subtle, but amazing. I’m so happy!! It’s not blonde, it’s not even dirty blonde but for some reason strawberry blonde. But I love it! 🙂 It makes my hair look more summer, happier, more fun 🙂

Again: it’s really really hard to get the color in the picture, so I just took a gazillion pictures and hoped some with do the color justice.

If you look closely you can see it, but in real life you can definitely tell. Again: it’s super subtle, but that’s what I wanted. It’s great! No regrets here at all! I’m really really happy with the color!!

Now of course, what you’ve all been waiting for. The giveaway!!!!!!!!!!!! 😀

I can giveaway the Feria Wild Ombre Home Hair Color Kit, one of each shade!!!! 060 is for medium to dark brown hair (the one I used), 070 is for dark blond to light brown hair, 080 is for light to medium blonde.
